    Default Keys?

I would welcome any information on these two objects, which I believe to be early keys. This is not my area of expertise, so any information will be very welcome. Thank you

They are keys for locks of " Egyptian design '. Such locks are still being made and used in North Africa which is where I would suggest these keys come from.

I agree with Oldlock: theese are North African keys.

Is the smaller (or both) ornamented with some notches? I can't see it clearly.
I don't have many of this type and there's not a lot of data about theese keys, so it might be difficult to compare the ornaments.
I think some ethnic groups have their own type of cut schemes, they ornamet things with.
Or maybe 'cut - settings' have some symbolic meanings...

Maybe You can see some cuts on the key below: it was bought on the south of Morroco from some Berber Man and send to me. Shape of it is different than shape of Your keys, because it was cracked and repaired centuries ago ;)

I'm interested in this type of keys to. The reason is how to determine of the age of them :)
