Default looking for old Corbin warded lever lock Q2 through Q24 skeleton keys

    Hello,

A friend of mine just bought an old house in Boston and for the sake of keeping the current interior doors period correct, he would like to find the keys for his locks. He was already on ebay and got some of the more common P9 and P10 keys for the couple P locks he has, but it seems most of his locks are stamped Q2 through Q24 and it almost feels like the Q series was like having a restricted keyway would be in this day and age. None of the Boston locksmiths want to help him, they'd rather sell him new locks.

Does anyone know if there is a chart of the Q keys or a place that still sells them? If the levers in his locks are all the same, was there a Q key that could be skeletonized to be the master key for all the doors?

the keys he is looking for are as follows:
    Q4
    Q6
    Q7
    Q8
    Q10
    Q13
    Q16
    Q17
    Q19
    Q20
    Q21
    Q24

    Thank you for your help,
    Squelchtone

P & F Corbin sold pre-cuts of the old Q Series bit keys many many years ago. Try checking with an old time locksmith shop that has been in business for fifty years or more if you have one nearby. My 2 cents.
