    Default Jewelry box key?

The following small brass key appears to be hand made. It is 1 and 5/8ths inches in length. the bit is shallow but is disproportionately long and the round shank extends for a distance in front of the bit. My guess was a jewelry box key. Anyone recognize this?

I have seen similar keys with cheap Indian made padlocks, the really poor quality and the stamped number are nearly identical.

These kinds of lock seems to break easily. They can be duplicated easily too.
