    Default Russian strongbox

    Dear all,
I have recently acquired my first strongbox. The seller dates it back to 19 century and claims its function was to serve as a personal safe for a clergyman in one Russian provincial church. The problems with it is non-professional repaint and a damage to lock system. As the key was lost an owner decided to break the lock system in order to open a box. So, it needs restoration.
Must stay greatful if somebody will give an opinion on the possible date of manufacture, complexity of the product and on possible way to fix the lock system.
