US Treasury Lock Query
I am sorry to trouble you all, but you are clearly people who know a thing or two about locks! I live over in England, and through my parents have in my possession a US treasury lock. The front combination cover is marked: Clarke Combination Lock Co., Baltimore M.D., Pat'd Feb. 4. 1873, June . 15, 1875, Reissued Feb. 29. 1876, Mfr's. The back is marked U.S. Treasury Lock. The lock is in very good condition, although I have no combination for it. Please can I ask, do you have any idea of it's value? I might try selling it on ebay, and see there is an identical one for sale currently at around $540.00. However, that sounds like a lot of money!
Many thanks
