Default Looking for details about this old Yale padlock.

    Hello,
I would like help identifying this Yale padlock. Also, I'd like to find details on the locking mechanism so I can possibly pick and or create a key for it. Perhaps there are some detailed exploded view diagrams somewhere or something like that.
Thank you all for your help.

Your Yale padlock is one of the "standard" model padlocks that first appeared in 1879. I have a 1929 Yale catalog, and it was still being manufactured at that time. I am including 2 pages from the catalog. I hope you find this helpful.

    Default Key Blank.

Does anyone know where I might find key blanks for this lock? Vintage or modern is fine.
    Thank you.

You can say the date of manufacture for your lock was 1927 or earlier as, IIRC, the Trefoil logo was discontinued that year.

I am having a hard time finding a key blank for this lock. With the lock picked I can make a key for it but I need the blank.

    Thanks so much,

if you are locksmith there are few place you can get key blank. I got the one from Pete Schifferli as his name is Seth Pehr:
Daniel Pehr Inc. 504 Cherry Lane
    Floral Park, NY 11001
    Tel: 212-732-3034
    Fax: 516-775-3674
    email: danielpehrinc@hotmail.com

Blue Dog Key also carry them too. Keep this in mind as they are not cheap blank to buy these. Otherwise look into the Ilco Catalog.

Not sure of where you are from but if you can find some old timer locksmith shop in your area they may help you out for this.
