The pictures of the lock you have attached are of a Yale 074. This is a different lock mechanism than the original poster of this thread which shows a Yale 072-1/2. I do have an 072-1/2 lock complete but I don't know if it will help you?

Pics of the 072-1/2 lock attached.

Does anyone have or know where I could find a Yale 074 lock mechanism for my Remington Rand cabinet?

    Timothy,

There are 4 different versions of this lock that I know of. They all look similar but not so.

I did dig deep for you today and I have what you need. A mounting plate with primary and idler gears. See attached parts for your safe.

    Chuck,

The 074 was mfg. with two different comb lock bodies that I know of. Both were mfg. by S&G. Their respective part numbers were 6727 and 6764. IIRC and by quickly looking at your lock mechanism you are in need of an S&G 6727 to complete your lock.

All versions of these locks are rare. I will dig deep and see if I can find your lock body.
