    Hi Sarah

Just recenly became a member to this site.

This top plate & fire resister badge was used on Phillips & Sons safes. Pre 1910. We too like you are stooopid for collecting old safes, badges & memorabilia. But Hey!! somebody has to do it.

Our Company, Withy Grove is as old as the hills, unofficially started in 1723, renamed 1799 to the Richmond Safe Co, then to Withy Grove in 1850. Our web sites are:- http://www.withygrovesafes.net & http://www.withygrove.co.uk

Me, I'm the twit that's into Safes, historically & modern. If you ever need help!!

    Regards
    Russell

ps, If you have a look at some of the 3 pages of plates shown, you will find One of the Phillpps badges fully restored.
