Default Cast Iron Safe Wheel Wanted

I am looking for a 4" diameter cast iron wheel for a safe repair, 7/8's inch rim with a 1" thick hub. I will fabricate the housing, just looking for the wheel. New manufactures stock don't seem to be available in less than a 1 1/4" thick for that diameter wheel. Many thanks, Bill

Reid Supply Co. carries lots of knobs, handles and hand wheels in various sizes and materials:

Have you tried a caster supply house? I know they make cast iron/steel wheels.

Appreciate the link Dean, I had seen that one. All the ones I've found so far dont have the smaller thickness of the old wheels. Nothing less than 1 1/4''. I might get one and try grinding a 1/8 off each side if all else fails.

Bill, if you act fast and ship it over to Cleveland, I can throw it on the lathe, turn it down and you can owe me. I am starting a complete tear down and cleaning of the lathe but it is still useable at this time. Doug
