    I think this company might still be in business today. http://www.empiresafe.com/219/home It says they were founded in 1904, so the company is old enough.
    I found your exact safe somewhere, but there sadly is no info on it here.

    I couldn't find anything more, but 20's would be a very good guess.

    Thanks for the responses man, much appreicated. I agree the handle looks like 20's. Btw the handle says 5 or 6 301 on it. If that helps. Thanks again!

    Pretty sure the Empire safe line was made by National Safe of Cleveland, OH. Most likely a bit earlier than the Twenties, more like pre-WWI.
