I'd be intereseted in more of the "genealogy". The term "Old Style" assumes there was also a newer style, what were the differences? Did this lock lead to newer models/designations such as the H-6xx series or the 175xx series?

    Default Old Style Diebold 600

Yes there is indeed a Newer style of the Diebold 600. There is no real genealogy for these or any safe deposit lock that I know of as very little information on these locks were produced or saved. It is not like a safe lock where everything is known about it. More pictures will be posted including the Diebold 600 new style.

According to Bill Kenton's 1959 book on SD locks many of the 6xx series locks were replaced by 175xx series, with the 600 replacement being the 17505. Doug

Doug, Thanks for the information on Bill Kenton's book. I will try and find one as I am always trying to expand my knowledge on SDB. Do you have any other recommendations.Ray
