Default Can anyone identify this padlock ?

I'm new to the forum. Not a lock collector. My hobby is researching items. I found this to be an interesting item. Can anyone identify the manufacturer? I believe it to be from the late 1800's.

    Default William Wilcox

    Hi Wally,

This padlock was mfg by the William Wilcox mfg co (1875-1910).
William Wicox started in business as the William Wilcox Co (1854-1874).
This type of padlock is Affectionately called a "Smoke House" padlock - I belive the name was coined because they were used to lockup the smoke house.
