    Default Old Finger-Ring key?

The best way I could describe it.

    Any information would be appreciated.

Supposedly, its from Avignon, France. Though I don't know if it originated there.

Its a little small to wear like a finger-ring would but I can't imagine one would have it linked to a chain on a bow like this.

In looking at it I would be more inclined to believe that it is a staple for a hasp that can be driven in like a nail.

I think that it may possibly be for mortaring into a wall to provide a ring - possibly for holding shutters or something like that open.

Wasn't there a safe that had three keys that the first one looked like that? It was used to open the key hole access.

I looked for a post about a safe but couldn't find it.
