    Default Prototype Unit lock?

I got this from the collection of A.J. Hoffman. He was quite the collector.

The only things I know to date are this was made by Corbin. It was made sometime between 1920-1940 (Keyway used) and I can't find it in any document put out by Corbin or Russwin. The thing that I find neat is that the latch pivots DOWN/UP depending on handing. It isn't a pullman latch or a normal latch. It is a diamond latch. I would have loved to see the strike plate for this lock. If you by chance know anything please post.
