Default On Primitive locks and padlocks

I found this interesting downloadable book from 1883. "On the Development and Distribution of Primitive Locks and Keys" by Pitts-Rivers printed in London. It has some good line drawing of the locks and padlocks. Doug

The General Pitt-Rivers book was cited by many and with a reverence that we would find hard to justify today. I have an original copy although the binding needs to be reglued. It is quite a bit larger than most books at 9 1/4" x 12 1/4". Some of the illustrations are interesting.
