    Default Need Rebated Russwin Locksets

    Hello,

I'm a newbie here, but my wife and I just purchased a 1920 colonial revival home in Roseburg Oregon, which has two sets of rabbited french doors. The lock sets are missing, but fortunately, the 3rd set of french doors still has the original of russwin rebated lockset to use as an example. Would anyone know where there might be a stash of these types of locksets?

    Thanks so much, Jerry Rude

Will be difficult, short of having reproductions made; here are a few websites that might be helpful to start looking:
Ball and Ball Antique Hardware Reproductions and Restoration
Wm. J. Rigby Co. - - antique hardware, vintage hardware, craftsman hardware, brass hardware, victorian hardware, hardware restoration, hardware repair, door lock repair, william rigby company
    http://oldhouseparts.net/
BTW, the correct terminology is rabbeted front.

Thanks for the web sites Pete!! they are very helpful....I've scanned them, but no luck.
I'll try and post a picture or two. Surely there is a stock of NOS locks somewhere out there??

    Thanks, Jerry

If you have any problems let us know.

As Pete said you are going to have to contact these companies and see if they will make the lock. This wouldn't be something they make now normal production.

Yep, that was a rare lock when they made that. You might be able to find one of those companies to make one for you.
