Comically, the parts drawing doesn't list the
    jaw inserts I need.
Maybe it's an opportunity to remake the entire
2 vises and make the corrugated insert longer so
it can grip better. I could incorporate a "roller" feature
also, to round over the ends of the lever cuts. Tom
Oops...Item 3 should read ...Improved American and Improved Duplex...
My "early" Improved Minute No. 179IM doesn't have any 'inserts' in the vise jaws and I suspect Model L didn't either; perhaps someone modified your machine?

I am pretty sure those old machines are still sitting on a shelf, collecting dust at the office.

No luck with any parts from James.
he suggested I call Mr. Chizler.

Pete-no inserts...hmmm...It's possible my machine has been
    modified ?

    I've attached some pics.
The tower has many shark bites from careless operation and
the area around the vise jaws is not exactly the same on the
    top and bottom vises.

If I put a homemade insert in the top vise it will be gripping the
customers key which isn't subject to the twisting torque from the
cutter the keyblank in the bottom jaw is.

Can't make out the center rear machine.
Keil 6-1/2 turret on the right, AKA Ilco 2196.
The first two are unremarkable, but the third could be of value to the right person.

    Jeff,

I'd be interested in buying the turret machine
if you'd be willing to build a sturdy plywood crate for
it and ship it to the west coast of Canada. V8V 1e5.

Send a personal email to me if you want with the price.

    thanks for posting it.
Have you got any other close up pics?
    What's broken, missing on it?
