Default Chubb salesmans sample drawer lock

This is a very nice Chubb salesmans sample New Patent detector lock that popped up on ebay a while back. The seller sent me some extra pictures at the time and I found them in my archive.

Alas I did not win the auction.

    Enjoy.

    Default

Another sample appeared recently on ebay. Whether the buyer knew (it did sell for GB606 !) is another matter. This is the 1847 patent, which was only made in this form for a few years before being modified after the great exhibition.

I was one of the bidders on this auction, Admitted, I was vexed on discovering i was outbid, However, I know it will be well looked after, I might even know whom it went to, R. A comes to mind.
