"Monestary" Key? Fake or real?

I am new to this, but this key caught my eye and I'd like a second (or several) opinions about its potential authenticity. I sent a message to the seller asking for more information, but they've not gotten back to me yet. This is what is known as a latch key. Search web under Odells Latch Key and you should see some more examples (avoid ebay pages). They were made from the late 1700's to I believe as late as 1960's. The one in your picture looks to be ones of the later ones.

Highly unlikely to have been used in a monestary. As sparkyskey says it's for an Odells (also know as French latch). Really quite common. Lots of modern ones around. Low value <$15

Also known as a dutch latch because the dutch traders brought them to England -yes it is one made in the 2nd half of the 20 century

Thanks kindly for letting me know. I was a inclined to suspicion that it could be that old, but have a whole lot to learn!
