    Default New York Insame Asylum Lock - Fake?

    I recently acquired a NY Insane Asylum Lock that I thought was real, but now I am beginning to doubt that. I have it listed under my ebay account of deltabg. Can anyone tell me anything about these locks?

    Are they real?
    When were they made?
    What is the estimated value of the whether the are real or fake?

    Fake / Fantasy as no such locks were ever used in the asylum system Currently being made in India in large numbers, value $15.

    Just to advise you, there are a lot of collectors who watch ebay, and should your item sell the buyer will probably get an email to let him know what he has just bought is a fake !

    Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, these locks are a real problem.
