Default 8 old combination locks - photos and questions

Hi - I just posted this in another category before I saw there was one specifically for combination locks. I'm American but live in China. These are what I've found during the last few years here, but haven't sold yet. I'll be putting them on eBay over the next weeks, but would love to know something more about them. It's my understanding that these would have been brought to China perhaps in the 30s or 40's from abroad. I'm pretty sure they wouldn't have been made here at that time. Any info would be appreciated!

None f these locks look to be American made, rather they look like Asian or Indian. Value I wouldn't think be very much unless you collected Indian locks, which I'm not aware of anyone doing. They are poorly made and very rough looking with the exception of the brass one in the top row second from the left.
