    Default Chubb numbers

A little more information for those who are not aware of this, the famous firm of Chubbs stamped every lock they made before 1936 with a unique serial number and maintained a record of who made the lock, the date of manufacture and sometimes to whom the lock was sold.

The records are not currently available but Peter has been able to work out approximate dates based on serial numbers.

For more information check Peter's website.
