The Heritage Collection

The History of locks Museum's Reference Collection of locks, keys, safes and ancillary fittings was originaly assembled to facilitate the writing up of the subject in the Global Catalogue, and also our many historical articles in magazines and periodicals. That collections grows at apace, we travel around the UK and Europe searching out locks from single items to whole collections.

The Heritage Collection though consists of selected items from our Reference Collection that we present at shows and exhibitions or sometimes loan to other Museums. We also welcome visitors to our collection (appointments at weekends). We present here selected items from the collections for all to enjoy but especially we welcome your comments...
