I have a Yale junior mortise lock and one spring that I don't know where it goes.
I looks like an old mangled cotter key out of an axle nut.
I tried to post apic but no success yet. I will have to read the instructions I guess although the format of the forum is similar to others I use.
However any exploded views of this lock would probably help.
