Diebold door in Duluth
I found an unusual Diebold vault door in Duluth, Minnesota. 314 West Superior Street, formerly the First Federal Savings & Loan Building, now the Torrey Building (1892, https://www.emporis.com/buildings/12...-duluth-mn-usa). It now includes Northland Special Events (http://www.northlandspecialevents.com/the-vault) with a very attractive 1939 Diebold door (http://www.duluthbudgeteer.com/conte...uluth-presence).

I like what they did with the vault as well as the photography in the first picture. This door is unusual because it is basically black (or dark bronze?) with bright steel and brass accents as well as lots of etching. Because it's an event venue they may or may not accommodate vaultophiles depending on what's going on at the time.

I ran across another good image of this door, be sure to click on it for the full-size version (1240x698). This is from http://www.duluthnewstribune.com/bus...town-footprint which claims the door came from the 1935 World's Fair but I doubt that since 1935's was in Belgium. 1939 was claimed in an earlier article, and that fair was in New York. It's possible Diebold made a special one-of-a-kind door for the fair then sold it afterward.
