Hi my aunt left us her Schwab one hour safe (antique at least I believe it is) is 3 digit combination every time I try the combination

It doesn't seem to work or I might be doing something wrong. Thank you for any help.

Also when I do start to put the combination in should I go by the dot above 3 or the line above 0
Try 4l, 3r, 2l. Then turn back to the right.
After inputting the 3rd digit what do you mean turn right??
By that stage you have aligned the discs in their correct position, You then turn the dial slowly in the direction opposite to the final combination rotation, and if I am correct, you will feel the dial pick up the action and withdraw the bolt. As it withdraws the bolt it will come to a dead stop and the lock will be unlocked.
Still didn't work 🤔
Sorry it didn't help. Be patient, one of the Americans will probably step in to help.
If you have a locked safe and cannot open it, please consider calling in a locksmith. In the unlikely case of your house being burgled, you might be asked to open the safe. Any burglar might not believe that you can't open it and might become less than polite.
Please post or sent a picture of the entire safe so that I may ID the what model lock you have. It could be a OBB style lock. Thanks TJ
Your illustrated dial and ring indicates an Eagle combination lock. Two different model Eagle locks were used on this particular Schwab safe in this era.
By the lock’s dial ring design, your Schwab safe sports a 2055. The opening sequence you posted is correct for the safe and lock in question. Although Schwab’s original operating directions indicate this is a Schwab OC3 lock, it’s actually an Eagle 2055.
Even more confusing, the OC3 number refers to a Yale lock which Schwab also utilized at this time.
DH
If it is a Yale OC3, Then try the combination as
Turn Right Passed (92) 3 times then stop on 92
Turn Left Passed (50) 2 times then stop on 50
Turn Right Passed (80) 1 time then stop on 80
Then left back to about 10 and turn the handle CCW.
