There is nothing more of a testimonial of skill set when you can decode (not from reference materials) and make a perfectly working key for these old cast iron JHW CLIMAX padlocks. This lock was obtained in the locked position, and is one of the smaller four disc designs marked, 03455 on the shackle. These locks had the ability to contain five locking discs, but apparently are harder to find. My key was completely ground out from tool steel plate material, even the bit and ward cuts. Never attempt to pick these locks open, you will permanently damage the lock. Just try and manipulate the first locking disc closest to the surface of the plug more than 180 degrees, and watch what happens.:=(: Anyway, if you like these locks as much as I do, you can read all about the key making and decoding process found in my latest book, http://www.blurb.com/b/7793878-the-e...ector-book-two
