This little wooden chest seems absolutely original to me except the screws that hold the hinges on, inside the lid, and the lack of inner tray to the left.
I think that Feb3 1680 probably has some symbolic meaning and there is what appears to be the staff with an entwirled snake around it-medeci perhaps? I think that it is all original and probably Italian.
