Safe and some safe plates
Got some pictures of some of the plates I have up in our shop and the safe we use in the office. Don't know how healthy this is :?

ps.Oldlock, I will remind Dave about your Christmas gift next time I see him.

Nice pics Noel.
What's the reference to asbestos on the top plate of the Hobbs?

Re: Safe and some safe plates
Very nice.
You need someone with a steady hand to do the coach stripe.
Can you send me a close up jpg of the transfer please? Take it head on but no reflection from the flash and I'll clean it up and re-post it. Attach it on a private mail if poss. It'll give me a task for the long winter evenings!
If anyone else has any transfers no matter what state, email them to me, I can have a go at making them good again - I'm nerdy like that!
Cheers

Geez - thats a nice job Noel. Who did you get to paint it or did you do it yourself?? I am quite jealous - especially as I haven't finished taking the paint off our one yet! Sarah

Re: Safe and some safe plates
Thanks I must say that I am very happy with it too. I got it painted at a panel beaters it is do in automotive 2 pack paint They owed me a favour, so was free but I think would normally be about $400 to $500 to have done. Not something you will make money out of but I think it is worth it.

Re: Safe and some safe plates
Hi Locky
Like your Phillips & son plate.
We have one fully restored, however ours may be a little older or may have been issued on a better quality safe.
Our plate has the name 'victorianised; with a little more scroll on its background.
Hated to dispose of the safe!!
In due course, I will post a few images to whet you's guys whistles.
Regards

Hi Locky
I've managed to download 3 pages of safe plates for you to browse on.
You might wish to look at our Phillips & son, matches yours but doesn't, if you know what I mean.
Let me know what you think about it (them)
Cheers
Russell
