Default Abus 83-45 Factory cut-a-way padlock

Here's some pictures of a factory cut-a-way padlock. Made by Abus in Germany for the Australian market. The mechanism is standard 6 pin.

Great cutaway! I've not seen a cutaway of a pin tumbler padlock that shows this much of the mechanism.

If it isn't obvious from the cutaway, these are changable-core locks (cylinder secured by a screw under the toe of the shackle).

I've got a few of these locks floating around, they seem to find me. I really wish I had the tooling and machining skills to turn them into something like this!
