dialoc
These locks are quite interesting, a few drawbacks in design and use but overall quite a nice lock. The user instuctions apply to both models. One is mounted and has been used but the other is a new item still in the box.

Good question, no dates on the paperwork and I have had a very brief search for patents but nothing obvious came up. Just thought it was quite novel especially for those who had phones with the same style dial etc.
Fixed 4 digit code but does operate quite well. Nice touch with the American eagle on the dial cover of the new item.

The padlock isn't from the same comapny, 40 years separates the patents.

I think it is possable the padlock was made by the Dialoc Co. after Haymaker Co. sold it to them or Dialoc Co. bought the Haymaker Co. As I don't know what happened to Haymaker other than they are no longer around I can't say for sure. If you happen to know Billy do let us know... I need to keep rounding out my data on lock history.:)
