Old English masterkeyed Padlock
Hello everyone. New member here, but I have been collecting keys and lock for about 2 decades. Needless to say, I have quite a collection now. (mostly keys, working more on locks now)
Some of you may recognize my username from other online lock related forums. If so, why did you never inform me about this site?
Anyways, hello to everyone else, and I hope I can be both productive on helping others, and I am sure I can also show off some of my collection. I'm hoping to start collection more of a broad variety of locks- including old safes. Personally, I look at a old safes as art, not just a locking container.
Anyways, enough ramblings on my end. Here is the lock as mentioned in the title. I'm basically cutting and pasting the info I have on it from the other forum I posted it on before.

Well, as some know, I'm in England. Having a blast less catching some nasty English cold/Flu. (thanks to London...)
Anyways, I'm out of the city, and in a small community until I leave this week. Went to watch the football game at a pub in the town today, and what did I see outside a few doors down? a Locksmith shop! (and it was open!- on a weekend with a big football game)
So, I went in, and introduced myself, and told the shopkeeper I collect locks, etc. Asked if there was anything unique he had available, and he did... Photos below.

Yes, its some type of master keyed commercial lock. I have two keys for one keyway. Anyone know anything about this type of lock, and/or how/where I could find the other type of key for this? (I'm now at the point where I think I will have to impression it...) I believe the manufacturer is Pickersgill-Kaye Limited. I'm also hoping someone can offer me a rough estimate on its age.
And I may just post how much I spent on this if someone is really curious..

Re: Old English masterkeyed Padlock
You did well to get one. When it was made it would have been ' Kaye ' - probably also stamped Liverpool. You are correct that it is a masterkeyed lock with two keyholes. I don't think I have any dating info on these although I might have a copy of the patent somewhere. I'll check.
