Old Brass Slaymaker Padlock
I got this padlock along with seven other various padlocks that I bought off ebay awhile back. The lock came with the original Slaymaker key so I think that adds a little bit more value to it. I'm looking for the manufacturing year on it, and the retail value of it. If anyone has any comments or information on this padlock please do tell.
Thanks!
The lock is made out of solid brass, and has a disk tumbler locking mechanism.

I think you have a warded lock based on the key.

That lock may actually be recent or even current production. You can find the history of the company at the link.

This more solid version was pre-1970's I believe. They began making really cheap warded locks made of thin pot metal during the 70's and beyond. As to value, I have a couple of them and don't think I ever paid more than $5.00-$7.00 for one.
