Old Safe Padlocks (Need Info!)
I bought this semi old brass padlock at a locale locksmith shop for $1 thinking it had some old value to it. If anyone knows of the retail value of it or the manufacturing year or just any comments please do tell.
Thanks!
The lock has Safe in medium size words on the front, and it says hardened on the shackle.
See the picture below for more details....

This looks like a Corbin knock-off brass body pin-tumbler lock probably made in the 1960's. If the key works, it will add to the value.......without a working key, you can't give this kind of lock away (unless someone is scrapping brass). It is worth no more than about $10.00. "Safe", which was a name that Slaymaker put on their locks (I think it was Slaymaker...guys, please feel free to correct me if I am wrong) is not a collectible name in locks.
Cheers, Mike D~C/The Amazing Michael~Escape Artist/Magician/Entertainer/Locksmith/Lock, Handcuff, and Restraint Collector......and one HELL of a model American! =)
