Help with Vintage Lever Lock
My brother found this in a ditch in Michigan 15 or 20 years ago, and I have always wanted to know more info on it. It is made of solid bronze and the cover spring and shackle spring are still good. It says "DE CO." on the top of the shackle, and it was found without a key. While I lived in PA., I was at a flea market and actually found a blank key. It was really easy to impression a key for it, and it works beautifully. Any info about age, Manufacturer, value, rarity Etc. would be appreciated. The lock measures 4 in. H, 2 1/2 in. W, 3/4 in. thick

This is a good looking old Railroad padlock.
The key was a lucky find.
DE may be the Companies name.
If you had the original key the Railraod would have a
Company name or at least initials on it.
