Default Any help with this please

I found this lock among many others this afternoon at first glance I thought sthat it was an old Chubb (with the bolt head locking into the safe handle follower. But on further examination the lock had no chubb stamp on it anywhere and the method of lock cap fixing was new to me too. So I will clean it up at a later date and cut a couple of keys to it, mean while any one got any ideas as to who made it? Thank you very much.

It is a Chubb, they are known as ' Banjo ' locks. Sometimes the markings get removed by the addition of a hardened plate screwed to the lock cap.

    Default Old Chubb Lock

Thanks for the information Oldlock, so my first thought was correct then? Though most Chubb locks (of this age) that i've come across has the fish stamped on the bolthead, not so in this case it seems!
