    Default got one for ya...

    Hi All,
I've been collecting keys for a while now (mostly all of the good ones I inherited from my father) and while going through more of his things, I discovered this lock. I don't even know what you'd call it. It seems that I remember it a tiny bit and that someone somewhere called it a luggage lock. You push the forked blade in a slot and it closes a v-shaped spring and the whoe mechanism slides out of one end. I've tried "push-slide lock", "blade key lock", and every other variation and possibility I could think of - and have failed miserably. Can anyone tell me anything? It's not even 2" long and I'm pretty sure it's brass. It has has a tiny etching on one side (flower and vine). I'd appreciate any info at all!
    Thanks so much!!!

    Default sigh...thanks

Thanks Tom. I had never seen anything like it before; however, now that I've discovered it's "rare" (ha ha) and worth a fortune (bigger ha ha) amongst the other 10,000 locks similar to this one on eBay going for .99 cents, I'll stick to collecting keys for now, and won't quit my day job. Darn!
