    Default age of this key

    hello im from belgium and today i find a key with the metaldetector in a field,can somebody thel me the age of this key,sorry for my englisch;-)

    It's of an old style, it could be 17th or 18th century. You might get more accurate dating information from local museums or archaeologists ?

    It may be a mis-caste due to the incomplete warding cuts and flat shaft?
    Perhaps circa 14th century.

    A ruler in the picture might help us get an idea of size.
