Recently purchased around 60 keys at a market sale
Hi all, I have come across some wonderful keys. I have become intrigued with finding history on them. Most are a bit rusty although you can read partial bits of information on them. A few examples (Germany), (conn U.S A), (Sargent & Co Patent May 158), (New Brit CCNN USA #55), (Norwalk). Any information would be great. Thanx, T

Hi Dean,
I guess that would help. Here are the pics. The 5th pick is a little something I did with a few of them. Since they are mounted I dont think I will bother trying to check the other side of them for info. The last pic is just for fun. It's a very large framed mirror I purchased at a yard sale and the mirror was broken - so I tossed the mirror and had a little fun with it. Looks great over the fire place.

Ok, of the three pictures in the one post. Most of the "Skelleton" keys are standard door keys for lever locks made around 1870-1930. This is not saying those keys are that old just the locks they fit are made about then. There are several clock winding keys that have square holes in them. There are a few I have not seen the locks for.
